My favorite artist is Sairaj. He is a b-boy and a rapper.

He learned b-boying (break dancing) from his school in the 7th grade from his friend Austin. Austin was once doing the stab freeze in recess. So Sairaj thought it was so cool so he asked Austin how he did it, so Austin showed him how to do it. Sairaj got the stab freeze then thought it was very cool so he asked Austin where he learned it from. So Austin said he learned it from Nelson who learned it from two brothers who went to a b-boying class. Then Sairaj discovered that in Sion Fort b-boys used to come and practice b-boying. So one day Sairaj went there, everyone there was inspiring and used to teach each other if they didn’t get a step. So after Sairaj went there he learned more steps. Then he learned that everyone was watching videos then trying the steps. So whenever Sairaj got free time he went to the CyberCafé. The CyberCafé is a place where you pay Rs.10 and get free access to a computer for 30 mins. So he went to CyberCafé and saw b-boy competitions and then tried the same steps at his house. He became a rapper in 11th grade. He saw another kid in his class who was singing a rap about his life. He thought he could sing a rap about his own life. So that's how he started rapping.

B-boying started in Bronx, New York City, USA in 1980. It started from a small gang who were rebelling against the cops. They wanted to fight but didn’t know how. So they made a way to express their emotions by break dancing(b-boying). And then they spread the news everywhere. That’s how b-boying started. The rap music originated in the Bronx, New York City, USA.

I met Sairaj when he came to my school to teach b-boying. From then he has motivated me. Something in my heart tells me to never back down when he is teaching. And he even does the things that I like,… rap I love rap. Once I wanted to sing a rap on our Annual Day, and he helped me learn the rap(Bones). And I didn’t even know what b-boying or breakdancing was until I met him. Now I know most of the basic steps. Something told me… this is really cool and I should put my soul and heart in it.

If I were living his life, I would change his identity, everybody should know him, and believe him I would go to more competitions, I would try to go to the Olympics. I would learn more steps, create more raps, make more b-boying steps, teach at many other places, become better at b-boying, make breaking something that is known all around the world(Like Football or Cricket), and do a lot of other stuff. The main thing, I would make sure my name goes down in history.

Each b-boy has a special name. Sairaj’s b-boy name is ‘Chosen One’. The first b-boy’s b-boy name was Crazy Legs. Did you even know Crazy Legs has come to Sion Fort to teach b-boying. Do you know Nas is a famous rapper/ Did you know that Sairaj had a chance to go to the Olympics but he didn’t!! And he said “If you want to do something don’t do it just like that for competitions, but do it for living the way you live”
