Dear Parents,

This week was a rather relaxed week, as there was not a lot of work as a lot of sessions were cancelled.

As something new and refreshing we went to Arrey forest, to do rice plantation. It was a very cool environment and we even met a lot of rain.

Monday

The electronics facilitator had not been able to come, the electronics session was replaced with embroidery and language sessions.

In the embroidery session many children were enthusiastic for learning Gehu and Buttonhole stitches. Everyone made beautiful stich designs of Gehu and Buttonhole flowers. But in this session there were hardly any boys.

In the Language session we learnt a marathi story about a kid who got a 3rd rank in swimming and was very happy about it. Then we did some words that culd also be used as a noun and also as a verb, fr example “ i am going for a run” with run as a noun, and “ i am running” with run as a verb.

Today’s individual time was a bit special as our favurite singing facilitators' childhood principal had come to visit us. She told us stories about her starting her school and about her philosophy and most importantly stories about Limangi.

Tuesday

Today we were gonna go to Array forest in Goregaon. We all met at 6:50 in LC and left for Arrey at 7:00, we went in a total of 5 cars. It was a fun 1 hour ride to goregoun. When we reached there we ate our breakfast and went on a short trail across the jungle. We saw many interesting plants, for example a plant that left it red colour when we rub it on our skin, or a plant which when chopped and blown in would release natural bubbles. After the short trail we went to the main house where the family lived. We were greeted with a very delicious herbal tea and soem fresh corn. We ate till our hearts extent. After the delicious food we went to the rice field, we planted all the rice plants in the muddy soil. Ater all the hard work we washed ourselves in a small stream, changed our clothes and did some sketching with our drawing facilitator. We couldent do much as there was a heavy rainfall, so instear we ate the lunch they provided up, it was a very delicious Thalipeeth. Then we went to the vegetable farm, saw some vegetables, some crabs and returned back home.

Wednesday

Today due to our singing facilitator not being able to come we had to take our games session instead. We played many board games like, Ludo and Business and etc. the games session went on for 1 hour, then we did a 10 minute meditation and went for our science session.

In the science session the big children learnt about the atomic weight of an element and the bonding of elements.

While the small kiddies presented what they learnt to their peers and facilitator. They presented things like insects, train and etc.

After science session we had health and deases which got cancelled as none of the children had done any hw.

They decided that they would not do the session this time and do their HW instead.

At lunch time we celebrated the birthday of Hritvi who turned 7 this year, we all sung happybirthday to her and ate the delicious cake. After lunch we had our Bboy facilitator for our Bboying session. We practiced the Six step and learnt a new move.

Thursday

As we had singing session replaced with the games session, we had the singing session today. We practiced Komal and Tivra swaras. Then we tried singing Tar saptak and Mandra sapak.

Later we sung speechless as usual, but after the session was over our singing facilitator sung the titanic song for us, she sang it beautifully and the words were very clear too, everyone was impressed and applauded her.

Today we had Vipul’s math and Poorva’s math session as usual but Vyom had joined Vipul math and it was his 2nd session for him. The Vipul math went very good as we were very smooth. We continued modelling trig functions on graphs by making an sinusoidal waves and discussed about what we were gonna do in the future sessions.

We did nothing special in the individual time, just finished our work and went home.

Friday

We did preaty much our own pending work today as neither or ats facilitator nor our carpentry facitataor could come today. While we were completing our pending work the Friday food people (Keshinika and Aary) were making Lemon rice.

We ate lunch, did seva as always but today we had a guest who had once taught us about light and electricity on a zoom call, come to to meet us. He showed us experiments on light and showed how different coloured objects absorb all the colours in the light except the colour the object is of. For example if I keep a green ball under red light it will appear black as all the red colour is absorbed but if I change the colour of the light to while or green the ball will reflect green colour.

We did many more experiments like this.
